New "Overwatch" details will feature gold character weapons, a new Public Region Test in the PC and "Competitive Mode" not ready for launch this month.
Blizzard Entertainment announced a new Public Testing Region for "Overwatch" in the western region for the PC playform, which features a beta version of the game's new game mode, "Competitive Mode". As with similar PTR type environments, the purpose of the test that new in-game features for"Overwatch" more specifically the "Competitive Mode".
The new game mode is available to everyone who are in level 25 or above and upt to 10,000 players can be added to the PTR concurrently. Gamers will need to complete ten placement matches to get the skill rating suggested for them. From their, the gamers will pitted against another gamer wil the same skill rating.
The "Overwatch" PTR was first featured in Korea before moving to the wesrtern regions as gamers were treated with a new features that sees every "Overwatch" character receiving golden weaponry, Gamerant reported.
It is hinted that it could be the final skin designs for the characters or Blizzard could make other adjustments for the gold weapons before the "Competitive Mode" launch. In addition, the "Competitive Mode" will also feature several unique sprays, player icons, and skins that will not be available for the loot boxes and cannoy be purchased through credits. Thus, players will have to earned these rewards every season.
Unfortunately, several gaming fans are unsure yet if the "Competitive Mode" will launch by the end of June on "Overwatch" as Blizzard was not pleased with how the test results for the new game mode were revealed, Forbes reported.
The problem occurs when games go into tiebreakers. Two teams both rack up wins on a map, and now Blizzard has to figure out what should happen next as several players pointed out how unfair it will be for them.
So far, Blizzard is working out ways to prevent these kinds of problems from happening within "Overwatch". Game director Jeff Kaplan also plans to have more heroes and maps for the game as they are currently developing them and test them out in the prototype stages. Blizzard will also announce other new features such as extended spectator mode, improvements on "Play of the Game", custom games and a new server browser for the game.
"Overwatch" is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
