Song Joong-ki Shanghai Fan Meet

On Monday, July 4, “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki was temporarily a sports fan when he attended the MLB match between the LA Dodgers and Baltimore Orioles at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. However, despite his disguise, a female fan recognized the 30-year-old actor and posted his photo, which became viral, on her Instagram account.

On next Saturday, the Hallyu star returns to being a celebrity as he holds the fan meet in Shanghai originally scheduled on June 5 but was cancelled two days before the event.

Asia Times reported that Blossom Entertainment, the agency of Song Joong-ki, confirmed that Shanghai fan meet to be held at the Shanghai Indoor Stadium starting at 7:30 p.m. The agency also announced that part of ticket sales generated in the actor’s previous fan meets in China would be donated to victims of the Sichuan earthquake.

Besides the money raised from tickets, Song Joong-ki’s talent fees from his guesting stint at “Happy Camp” and “Hurry Up, Brother,” popular TV shows in China, were also donated by the Korean actor to a Chinese charity organization.

Unfortunately for fans hoping “Descendants of the Sun” actress Song Hye Kyo would be the special guest, Korea Daily has reported in late June that it would be Korean singer Kim Jong-Kook who would be Song Joong-ki’a special guest. Among the songs that the Turbo member would sing are “Lovable” and “Today More than Yesterday.”
