Zayn Malik appeared on the "Ghostbusters" soundtrack on July 15, Friday, and dropped a new single with Snakehips. His contribution to the 2016 ghost film has some of the original's tone and lyrics but projects non-ghostly wistfulness. Meanwhile, his "Cruel" with the British electronic duo carries its listeners to a nightclub in Las Vegas.
Snakeship's track featuring Malik is said to have the 23-year-old's performance that was never heard of him before. The singer has evolved as an artist, courtesy of his vast musical experience like his One Direction days. His new releases proved that it is not easy to predict what he will offer next, according to Refinery29.
The ex 1D member disappointed about 80,000 fans last month when he pulled off of Capital's Summertime Ball because of anxiety. Host Dave Berry was on his side, and understood his battle.
"Anxiety is a terrible thing - and playing Wembley should be one of those things you embrace because it's ticking a massive life box," Berry told Mirror in an interview with Capital's breakfast team this week. "But if you're suffering from any kind of anxiety, it's literally your hell on earth."
Berry said Malik explained everything and said the singer is welcome back anytime. Also with Berry were Lilah Parsons and George Shelley who wished Malik the best for his recovery.
Meanwhile, the former One Direction member has the Force and it is strong. He added another tattoo to his body, and a very unique one because it is a UV tat made with an ink that glows behind a blacklight. Malik has several tats, such as images of flowers, checkered flag, lips and even the face of his ex Perrie Edward.
This time, Malik's tattoo is a blue "Star Wars" lightsaber on his middle finger. Jonathan Valena aka Jon Boy shared a photo of Malik to show off the tattoo on Instagram on July 15, Friday, along with a picture of him, Malik and another two people. Valena had created tats for other celebs including Justin Bieber, Chloë Grace Moretz, Hailey Baldwin and Kylie Jenner.
Listen to Malik's "wHo" for the movie "Ghostbusters."
