Persona 5 is an upcoming JRPG being developed by Atlus of the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 console

New details for "Persona 5" will showcase more gameplay features and pre-order sales increase due to "Final Fantasy XV" release date delay.

Atlus announced new gameplay details for "Persona 5" as several images from the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu showcased more dungeons, torture techniques and "Persona Fusion".

The Mementos Dungeons in "Persona 5" are created as reflections of the hearts of the general public. The Mementos Dungeon is a random dungeon whose form changes each time players enter the area. There are quests to find and reform the Shadows lurking within the dungeon, however since Shadows are based on the general public, their trends of action will change according to things such as the day’s weather.

The second gameplay feature will focus on the Personas as they can gain experience points depending on the level of the protagonist with his allies in the Phantom Thieves. The more skills a Persona has acquired, the more skills that can be carried over during "Persona Fusion".

"Persona Fusion" in the game can be carried out by the use of Guillotine and it has been seen in the "Persona 5's" Velvet Room. There are three "Persona Fusions" in the game; “Two-Body Guillotine,” “Group Guillotine,” and “Search Guillotine”.

“Two-body Guillotine” is the standard two Persona fusion, while the “Group Guillotine” will allow players to fuse more than two Personas and “Search Guillotine” allows gamers to summon previous fusion with a price.

There are also three new torture techniques that gamers can do in "Persona 5" such as "Hanging", "Electric Chair" and "Solitary Send-off".

Hanging will allow gamers to sacrifice one Persona as experience points for another Persona. There are social game training-like elements to it and If the Personas are of the same Arcana, the experience points the protagonist acquires will increase.

The Electric Chair will allow gamers to sacrifice a Persona to create a high-rank item or tool.

Solitary Send-Off will allow gamers send off their Persona to train and learn skills to overcome their weaknesses. The required number of in-game days is shortened based on the player's Arcana Co-op Level, Gematsu reported.

In other news, the pre-orders sales for "Persona 5" have increased due to the Square Enix's announcement that "Final Fantasy XV" will be delayed from its original release date next month.

The pre-orders for "Persona 5" have skyrocketed in "Amazon Japan" and took the top spot. Atlus will not to worry about the competition from Square Enix when it comes to sales since they have moved "Final Fantasy XV" on Nov. 29 and Japanese gamers are not conflicted as to which JRPG they will buy on September, Attack of the Fanboy reported.

"Persona 5" will launch on Sept. 15 in Japan and on Feb. 14 in North America for the PS4 and PS3 consoles.
