New "Kingdom Hearts 3" details will feature a possible Nintendo NX version and the sequel not appearing in this year's Gamescom event.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding the possibility of having "Kingdom Hearts 3" in Nintendo's upcoming video game console the Nintendo NX. While the "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, EB Games Australia momentarily listed the sequel for the Nintendo NX with a placeholder of $119.95, before it was taken away from the site, Nintendo Insider reported.
Square Enix has been revealed to be among the third party publishers that Nintendo has worked hard to court in securing support for the Nintendo NX with plans to port "Dragon Quest 10" to the next-generation console.
It should be noted that the relative silence around "Kingdom Hearts 3" is due to the game being saved as a headline announcement for the Nintendo NX. The series has been seen on Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS, most recently in "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance".
In other news, it seems that Square Enix will not likely showcase "Kingdom Hearts 3" at the Gamescom 2016 event this week along with "Final Fantasy 7" remake and a new "Dragon Quest" title.
Fans were expecting new game details for "Kingdom Hearts 3", but sadly, they are left with disappointment yet again, GameNGuide reported. Square Enix stated that they working on "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" as it will launch on December for PS4 and Xbox One.
Previous reports revealed "Kingdom Hearts 3" could be divided into several episodes as game director Tetsuya Nomura stated in an interview that that idea of an episodic style release came up due to the fact that the scale of the sequel's story will be huge and he is overwhelmed about it. Although he expressed his fear in to having an episodic release as it might ruin the tempo of "Kingdom Hearts 3's" storyline.
Nomura teased an online multiplayer feature as he has been hinting clues from past interviews, though nothing concrete is being confirmed to date.
There are also rumors that "Kingdom Hearts 3" could be the last installment of the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise, but a planned "Kingdom Hearts" collection is being considered by Square Enix.
"Kingdom Hearts 3" is speculated to be release on 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
