Google released the next version of Android on Aug. 22, 2016 and the technology world is waiting to experience the new OS (Operating System) which will have split-screen multitasking, much better emoji, quick-reply notifications, JIT compiler and a host of other features. Now the latest news from the developers states that the speed of app installation on Android 7.0 Nougat based phones will be improved.
According to the official website, the android runtime (ART) will be improved by the JIT compiler and now the users will get to install the apps and updates quickly, much faster than what they are used to till now. The developers have revealed that even the large apps which used to take several minutes on Android 6.0, now will be installed in seconds on Android 7.0 Nougat. Now the apps will not optimize as they used to do in Android 6.0, and hence will be quickly installed in the latest OS which will be released shortly.
According to The Verge, the Nougat updates will be received by Google's own devices which include the Nexus devices such as the Nexus 6P, 5X, 6, 9, and Nexus Player. Over the coming weeks these devices along with the Pixel C tablet will receive the Nougat update. Going by the regular tradition of Google, all the carriers will receive the updates at different times than others. This is to ensure that bug-fixing and any unforeseen major issues can be handled with ease.
It is also reported that T-Mobile smartphone users will get the Android 7.0 Nougat update very soon. Many Samsung and HTC devices are already queued up by this US giant carrier to receive the updates first. The roll out of the updates will continue till 2017. The good news is that the tech world is quite excited with this new roll out. The Taiwanese tech corporate HTC is all set to roll out the update and has already started releasing the new firmware update to a few of its devices. It will first be rolled out to HTC 10 and then subsequently to One M9 and One A9.
