Pokemon Go Fastest Mobile Game To Hit Revenues Of $500 Million

At present, an inbuilt Pokemon tracking tool is not available in the Pokemon GO game. However, it is expected to be available soon.

Since Niantic is following a strategy of releasing bi-weekly updates. Hence, it was expected to release a new update at the start of this week as it had released its last update on Aug. 23. However, the update has not arrived yet. Speculations indicate that the next Pokemon GO update would include a new Nearby tracker.

When the game was launched on July 6, it featured an inbuilt Pokemon tracking tool called Nearby. Since it could not show nearby Pokemon properly, the feature was axed through the update that was released early in August.

The Sightings feature shows the Pokemon available in the range of 200 meters, Heavy reported. However, the list of Pokemon it shows does not rank them on the basis of proximity,

Moreover, if multiple creatures of the same species are available, Sightings will not list all of them but only show one of them. Hence, the new feature does not clearly help in finding out how close or far a Pokemon is.

New Nearby Tracker

Niantic is working on a new Nearby tracking feature. In fact, the feature is already made available to select users. The new Nearby tracker now shows a list of Pokemon along with an image of PokeStop behind each one of them.

Once a player taps on a PokeStop shown on the Nearby pane, it will fetch more information of the location and provide details on how to reach that place. The View button can be used to see a map that shows pink paw symbol for PokeStop. Pokemon creatures won't be available exactly at the PokeStop, but it should be available close to the PokeStop.

If the Pokemon disappears by the time players reaches the location, it will show an alert that the Pokemon has de-spawned from that place. Select users have had the chance to try the new Nearby tracker have stated that if functions accurately. Since an inbuilt Pokemon is not available in the game, the number of Pokemon GO players have declined, TheBitBag reported.
