The KBS historical series "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" that stars Park Bo Gum has recently reached an impressive milestone. The drama has broken through the 20 percent rating mark with its seventh episode.
Park's drama "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" also known as "Love in the Moonlight" continues to reign over the Monday-Tuesday drama rating race. The KBS series' viewership share for episode 7 that aired on Sept. 12 has reached 20.4 percent, according to a report posted on Soompi. The drama's latest rating also posted an increase from the previous week's 18.8 percent viewership share.
The historical series has also retained its top spot against other dramas that airs in the same Monday-Tuesday evening timeslot. Park's KBS series has taken over the first place previously held by the medical drama "Doctors." The show has also reigned over the star-studded SBS series "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" that features Lee Joon Gi, Kang Ha Neul and the K-pop singer IU.
Meanwhile, the drama that took the second spot in the rating's race is MBC's "Monster," as indicated in the same report. The said series registered a 10.6 percent viewership share. The show's latest rating marked a slight increase from the drama's previous week's 10.3 percent level.
On the other hand, "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" posted a viewership share of 5.7 percent. The SBS drama has yet to break through the 10 percent rating's level since it first aired in late August. Its latest 5.7 percent viewership share also marked a slight dip in ratings as compared to the previous week's 6 percent level.
In other news, the famous South Korean singer Gummy has joined the list of musical artists who sang a song for the KBS drama. The R&B singer lent her voice to the song titled "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds," allkpop reported. A teaser for the said track's music video has also been released in early September.
The said teaser contains clips of Gummy recording the song in a music studio. It also featured some of the scenes between Park and Kim Yoo Jung characters.
"Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" airs every Monday and Tuesday on KBS.
