The penultimate season of the HBO hit TV series "Game of Thrones" is expected to feature a huge battle and an alliance between beloved characters. Viewers can also expect to see more of Bran Stark's (Isaac Hempstead Wright) powers in the show's upcoming Season 7, according to Ellie Kendrick.

"Game of Thrones" Season 6 featured a look at Bran's growing powers as a trainee under the tutelage of the Three Eyed Raven (Max von Sydow). Following an attack by the White Walkers that led to his mentor's demise, Bran had no choice but to assume the role of the new Greenseer.

With the mark of the White Walkers and the burden of becoming the new Three Eyed Raven, Bran is expected to showcase more of his abilities in "Game of Thrones" Season 7. In an interview with MTV, Kendrick, who portrays Meera Reed, stated that Bran's power to reveal both past and future events will be one of the new season's exciting plot developments.

Kendrick added, "[Bran] looks small and weak, and yet he's got this immense strength and capability of mind ... I love the story line he has because he's this kid who's been forgotten, but he has these incredible powers to unleash."

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is also expected to feature a reunion between Bran and his Stark siblings Sansa (Sophie Turner) and Arya (Maisie Williams). Story speculations pointed to the Stark reunion happening at Winterfell, a location where Bran and Meera may end up traveling to.

With Meera's role as Bran's protector, the Greenseer is assured that his travel companion will keep him safe from harm, according to Kendrick. Given the Reeds' fierce loyalty to the Starks, Meera will do everything in her power to support Bran in his mission, even it meant fighting the wights and White Walkers.

Meanwhile, filming activities for the HBO show's upcoming season are currently underway in various parts of the Ireland and Spain. Sources told the fansite Watchers on the Wall that the production team booked the Wolf Hill Quarry location in Northern Ireland for three weeks beginning mid-November.

Filming speculations hinted that a battle scene that involves wights will be shot in the said Ireland set. Around 300 extra actors to play wight soldiers is expected to participate in the scene.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 will premiere in summer 2017. Watch Bran's vision featured during the Season 6 finale below:
