Fans of the popular K-pop act have been waiting for a long time for 2NE1 comeback, but there is no certain answer from the group's label YG Entertainment until now. However, the idea is far from happening right now, particularly since all members are busy with their own careers.

2NE1 member Chaelin Lee, also known as CL, is presently making her own name in the United States as a singer and a rapper. She was recently featured in CNN Style documentary "Breaking America." Her first single in the U.S. "Lifted" was launched in August 2016.

YG Entertainment chief executive officer Yang Hyun Suk is aware about the frustrations of 2NE1 fans, but he declined to promise about the groups' comeback anytime soon. The agency is reportedly busy helping other talents such as the Blackpink and Bigbang before they focused on the return of the famous all-female Korean group.

"Many fans of our artists complain that the albums take too long to come out," Yang Hyun Suk told Soompi. "I have been thinking that I need to devote my own time to my artists so that fans will no longer be frustrated. I want to tell them that I will be returning to my work as a producer."

2NE1 fans are also begging for Park Boom to return to the group. After she took a break following the drug scandal, she made a comeback in the social media early in October. This led fans to assume that it is a sign that she is returning to the group.

Boom opened a new social media account, where her posts easily garnered the attention of her fans. It steered more rumors, especially hat YG Entertainment confirmed that the group will be returning soon, Allkpop reported.

Sandara Park is presently focusing on her television career in the Philippines. She will be gone for nearly a year. This hints that 2NE1 comeback is still fuzzy if Park will be gone in South Korea for a while.

2NE1 has been on hiatus since the release of 2014's "Crush." Minzy, one of the group's members resigned from the group when she chose not to renew her contract in April 2016. There are speculations that she is searching for a new agency to manage her career.
