Game developer and publisher Atlus with co-publisher Deep Silver introduces three new Confidants for "Persona 5." More details of the video game have been revealed with the School Life feature unlocked on the official website.
According to the official website of the video game, the Confidants are NPCs that will help the players build and maintain relationships with the party members and the citizens of Tokyo. They are the allies of the Phantom Thieves in their activities. When they achieve strong bonds with the Confidants, they will be able to unlock special skill bonuses, services, and additional perks.
Sadayo Kawakami is the protagonist's homeroom teacher at Shujin Academy, a maid in secret, and the Temperance Confidant. The protagonist finds out her secret side job, and in order to shut him up, she strikes a deal with him, which is to allow him to slack off in her class. This allows the players to gain extra time for upgrading skills by reading books, creating infiltration tools, or he can just sleep.
Toranosuke Yoshida is a public servant who genuinely cares for the people, and also the Sun Confidant. He is a humble man who does not lack confidence, but he is plagued with his record in his political career. He can be found at the Shibuya Station Square giving sermons about changing the corrupt system and protecting the country's future.
The protagonist can speak to Yoshida to learn the art of speech. This skill will allow players to unlock negotiation skills in battle like asking more money or items from enemies.
Hifumi Togo is the chief strategist of the group and also the Star Confidant. She has some useful abilities to use during the battle like swapping out party members mid-fight, fleeing from ambushes, and many more. She was actually planned to be involved in the game's main scenario, but was scrapped and used as a Confidant because they thought it could make the main scenario too long if she was included.
According to another post on the official website of "Persona 5," more details were revealed after the School Life feature was unlocked at the official website's menu. It shows several details like Live as the Protagonist, Living a Double Life, Confidant Relationships, Exciting Events at School, After School, and important information for players who are new to the "Persona" universe.
