"Persona 5" will now launch on April 4, 2017 for western audiences. Atlus also revealed that it will have dual audio on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 as free DLC.
According to the official blog of PlayStation, Atlus has just revealed recently that their most anticipated video game will be delayed until April 4 next year. They explained that it has set the gold standard for them with its launch in Japan, and they wanted to release it in its best when it comes to the west.
The game company announced that they will be attending the PlayStation Experience in Anaheim this year and attendees are welcome to visit their booth. They can also try out the playable game demo anytime. As a treat, those who will visit their booth will get a collector's card of "Persona 5."
The video game will have dual audio for the PS4 and the PS3, the game company announced. They explained that they will be including it as a DLC for logistical reasons, but it will be free to download for forever. They revealed that they did quite a lot of work just to make this happen due to the fact that many fans wanted this option since the video game was announced.
The dual audio option was something that Atlus wanted to do for their fans that still appreciated their English dubs, and respect all the effort they have put into localizing the game. They revealed that they were inspired by the fans who wanted this and they were working hard for this to happen for a long while now, which is why they are glad that it came true.
For those who have pre-ordered the Take Your Heart premium edition of the video game, they can now see what it finally looks like when it will be shipped. The soundtrack CD now features Justine and Caroline, the twin residents of the mysterious Velvet Room. The artbook and the Steelbook have been updated as well with the final art on the box for the game.
According to the official website of PlayStation Store, Atlus has released the "Persona 5" Ryuji Sakamoto special theme and avatar set and it will be free to download for 24 hours. It will contain the special theme that focuses on Ryuji, and it will also have three different avatars of the character.
