Samsung Galaxy S8 to release with bezel-less design huge display, function as Android desktop PC

Samsung Galaxy S8 is now rumored to be coming with a larger display along with bezel-less design. An accessory that will come with the smartphone will let users to use it as an Android desktop PC.

Citing reliable sources, The Guardian has reported that the Galaxy S8 will be available in two sizes. It will be coming in 5-inch and 6-inch sizes. These smartphones are codenamed as Dream and Dream 2. Both the smartphones will be sporting dual-edge curved displays. Previous speculations have suggested that these will be released as Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus in the market, Gizmo China reported.

The size of the display of the Galaxy S8 will be similar to that of Galaxy S7, but it is expected to deliver larger screen-to-body ratio as the smartphone will be offering slim bezels on its top and bottom. Hence, there will not be any logo of the company on the front side of the device.

The publication has reported that the such a large display is referred to as Infinity Display by Samsung. In addition to slim bezels, the smartphone is also rumored to feature a bezel-less design.

The Snapdragon 835 will be powering the Galaxy S8 variants. It is expected to come with a native storage of 64 GB. The microSD slot on Galaxy S8 will support a memory card of up to 256 GB. It will be also featuring a 3.5 mm audio jack. The smartphone will be also equipped with a USB Type-C port.

The publication has further stated that the Galaxy S8 will be featuring an AI assistant that will be smart enough to carry out various commands such as object identification through the camera

The report has debunked the previous rumors that the Galaxy S8 will be featuring a dual camera setup. The S8 is now pegged to come with the same but enhanced version of the camera available on Galaxy S7. It means it will be able to shoot better images in low-lighting environments.

Lastly, the Galaxy S8 is expected to come with a couple of new accessories. One of them is a desktop dock called DeX that will Galaxy S8 users to connect to an additional display, keyboard and other peripherals to work on a full-fledged Android desktop PC. This function is similar to Continuum available on Windows 10.

The Samsung Galaxy S8's exact release is not confirmed yet. Speculations are  rife that it will be available for buying by April 21.
