Eminem starrer ‘8 Mile’ cast: 15 actors who starred with 'Rap God' rapper but you probably didn't know

It has been almost 15 years since the "8 Mile," which starred Eminem as Jimmy Smith Jr., hit theaters. Here are 15 actors who have current fans that may not know they once starred in a film with the "Rap God" rapper:

 

15. Chloe Greenfield

Greenfield's "8 Mile" character Lily Smith is the little sister of Eminem's character. From 2006 to 2009, Greenfield starred in "ER" as Sarah Riley, the daughter of Tony Bates (John Stamos).

 

14. Sara Stokes

Currently, Stokes is filming an Alexander Kane film "The Enemy." She is set to star in 2017 films "Perimeter" and "The Many" and the 2018 films "The Hunt" Chapter 5" and "Façade: Chapter 4." Almost 15 years ago, she played a girl in the crowd in a film starring Eminem.

 

13. Nickola Shreli

Shreli played an uncredited role in "8 Mile." After the film, he went on to play credited roles such as Gus in "Low Winter Sun," Duke in "The Red Road" and Randall Hatcher in "APB."

 

12. Brandon T. Jackson

Jackson played an uncredited role in "8 Mile." More than 10 years later, he played Hashtag in "Californication," Roofie in "Deadbeat" and Ben Robinson in "Mr. Robinson."  On the big screen, he is set to star in the drama comedy film "The Year of Spectacular Men" with Zoey Deutch, Cameron Monaghan, Lea Thompson Nicholas Braun and Avan Jogia.

 

11.  Malik Barnhardt

In "8 Mile," Barnhardt played Moochie, a member of the gang of rappers named Tha Free World. Almost 15 years later, he is set to star in a drama film titled "Dead End" with Vivica A. Fox, former girlfriend of Eminem's protégé 50 Cent.

 

10. Obie Trice

Trice only acted in one film after playing a rapper in "8 Mile." As a musician, he has released four studio albums

 

9. Evan Jones

Almost 15 years after playing a friend of Eminem's character in a film, Jones will star in a film with Chris Pratt. In "Guardians of the Galaxy 2," Jones will play Wretch.

 

8. Omar Benson Miller

In "8 Mile," Miller played a friend of Eminem's character. After 15 years, Miller is set to star in a film with Johnny Knoxville, Jack Huston and "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke.  

 

7. Mekhi Phifer

Since 2016, Phifer has been playing Satch Reyna in "Frequency." More than a decade before this, he and Eminem played best friends in a film.

 

6. Eugene Byrd

Since 2007, Byrd has been playing Dr. Clark Edison in "Bones." In "8 Mile," he played Jimmy's friend named Wink.

 

5. Taryn Manning

Manning's fans know her for her role as Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett in "Orange is the New Black." But 11 years before she starred in the Netflix series, she and Eminem played a former couple in a film.

 

4. Kim Basinger

In 1998, Basinger won her first and only Academy Award for her role in "L.A. Confidential." Almost four years later, she played Stephanie Smith, the mother of Eminem's "8 Mile" character.

 

3.  Michael Shannon

It seems that Shannon was infected with an Oscar bug when he played Stephanie Smith's boyfriend in "8 Mile." In 2009, he received his first Academy Award nomination for his performance in "Revolutionary Road." He received his second Oscar nomination recently for his performance in the 2016 film "Nocturnal Animals."

 

2.  Xzibit

Born Alvin Nathaniel Joiner, Xzibit is known both as an actor and a rapper. Almost 10 years after playing a rapper in "8 Mile," he released his seventh studio album titled "Napalm." Currently, he plays Shyne Johnson in "Empire" and he is set to star in the drama comedy film "Sun Dogs" with Melissa Benoist, Ed O'Neill, Allison Janney, J.R. Ramirez and Jennifer Morrison.

 

1. Anthony Mackie

Known for playing Sam Wilson/Falcon in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," "Ant-Man," and "Captain America: Civil War," Mackie is one of the most common faces in superhero films nowadays. Not many of his fans know that the first film he starred in is "8 Mile" as Tha Free World leader named Papa Doc.
