"The Incredibles 2" creator, Brad Bird, recently confirmed the script and plot of the upcoming sequel.
According to reports, the story of "The Incredibles 2" will focus on the Parr family's patriarch and matriarch, who will be passing on their "heroic responsibilities" to their children, now that they have become much older.
In 2004, "The Incredibles" became a huge hit because it was unique and the characters in the film appeared to be extremely adorable.
In terms of its plot, the first installment was able to capture the hearts of its viewers because it had a touching element to it.
With the film's upcoming return, the parents of Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack have extremely aged and can no longer save humankind.
Luckily, all three kids are interested in saving the world from the bad guys, but Jack-Jack, the youngest of them all will face some difficulties along the way, according to Venture Capital Post.
At one point, Jack-Jack will rebel against his siblings and will find it difficult to control his superpowers. While all this is happening, super villain Syndrome will take advantage of Jack-Jack's mistakes and encourage him to completely turn evil.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Screen Rant, Bird said that he wants fans to be surprised with the upcoming sequel.
As challenging as it might be to create a sequel to a highly successful franchise, Brad said that he is still hopeful they would stay on the right track with "The Incredibles 2."
"The Incredibles 2" is rumored to be released some time in 2016 or 2017.
