Idina Menzel Weighs In On 'Frozen 2' Sequel, Says Script Is Being Written

"Frozen" star Idina Menzel recently expressed her excitement over the upcoming second installment of the Disney franchise. However, the "Let It Go" singer said that as of late, she still cannot spill details about the project because she herself do not know anything much. 

During an interview with Billboard, the actress admitted that she does not know much about the project because it is still in the writing or creative stages.

However, even if this was the cast, Menzel could no longer keep her excitement over what the future holds for "Frozen 2."

The publication then asked the "Glee" star what her involvement would be in the upcoming Broadway musical adaptation of "Frozen."

"I do not know if I feel like hitting that high note eight times a week! But we will see. I would love to be a part of it. It's a great family of people, a great creative team, and you never know," she said.

Meanwhile, there have been several rumors regarding the storyline of "Frozen 2."

According to Master Herald, the film will introduce a new super villain that Anna and Elsa have to fight against.

Other than this, "Frozen 2" will reportedly focus on Elsa's superpowers. In the film, the character will realize that she has the ability to change people's lives by taking down the bad guys.

In "Frozen," the origins of Elsa's superpowers was never highlighted and fans are dying to know more about their favorite character's history.

"Frozen 2" is rumored for release some time in 2017 or 2018.
