New photos for the upcoming "Ghostbusters 3" were recently leaked online. Meanwhile, executive producer Dan Akyroyd also talked about the movie and teased fans on what they can expect once it hits theaters worldwide.
According to Sydney Herald, the leaked photos from the set of "Ghostbusters 3" featured the all-female cast starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon.
In one of the photos, McCarthy and McKinnon were photographed together. Wiig, on the other hand, was featured in another photo as an academician who is interested in the supernatural.
Meanwhile, Aykroyd, who previously starred in the original "Ghostbusters" film, has been tapped to executive produce the spinoff. In an interview with Spinoff Online, he talked about the all-female ensemble and more.
According to him, "Ghostbusters 3" is an exciting movie because of the dynamics of the three female lead stars. Although the three actresses have very distinct voices, they will come together to ensure that fans would have a blast while watching the movie.
Aykroyd also talked about everyone else who made "Ghostbusters 3" a reality. According to him, when some of the producers, writers and directors learned that there will be a spinoff, they all automatically had their own take on the film. Now, the entire production staff has been filled up and the film is being directed by Paul Feig.
In other news, Feig also posted a photo of himself holding a glass with green slime in it. The green slime is more popularly known as the ghost juice and it was featured in the first two installments of "Ghostbusters."
"Ghostbusters 3" is slated for release in the United States on July 22, 2016.
