On June 16, 2015, Fan Bingbing broke news after rushing an injured boy to the hospital. The actress was shooting scenes for a variety show when the boy got involved in a car accident. Witnessing the incident, and also for the fact it was somehow caused by fans obstructing traffic in the area, Fan took the initiative and drove the boy to the nearest hospital.
The mother of the child blamed the incident on the actress and Jerry Lee, whose presence gathered numerous fans eager to come close and see the shooting. But later, after finding out that the actress was the one who saved her son, she retracted her words and apologized to Fan.
