OnePlus 2 is still under the wraps, but OnePlus is gradually unveiling its features piece-by-piece. After confirming that the OnePlus will be launched on July 27, the company has now hinted that its 2015 flagship will be featuring a fingerprint scanner.

The OnePlus 2 pictures that surfaced recently revealed the front and back sides of the device. The rear view clearly revealed that the handset may house a fingerprint scanner. Now, OnePlus has published a new post with a photo that contains the text "The OnePlus 2 Security" on its Facebook page. It indicates that the OnePlus 2 will come with a fingerprint scanner, Phone Arena reported.

The co-founder of OnePlus, Carl Pei had proclaimed in March that the OnePlus 2 will be able to pit well against flagships like the Galaxy S6, the HTC One M9 and the next generation iPhone, according to International Business Times. OnePlus is slowly revealing some of the powerful and unmatched features such as the arrival of the enhanced Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset on the device.

The Snapdragon 810 chipset that is present on the HTC One M9 and Sony Xperia Z3+ is plagued with overheating problems. However, the Chinese smartphone manufacture claims has published a post on the OnePlus forums to explain that users will not be facing any overheating issues on OnePlus 2. It will be the first smartphone to release with USB Type-C connector.

The OnePlus 2 is rumored to be featuring a display screen that measures 5.5-inch to 5.7-inch. However, it is not known, whether the display will support full HD or Quad HD resolution. OnePlus will be holding a grand virtual reality launch event for unleashing the OnePlus 2 flagship on July 27 at 10 PM EDT.
