OnePlus 2 is all set to get officially announced on July 27. A pair of OnePlus 2 pictures have surfaced that show not only shows off its beauty but also close resemblance to the predecessor model. Even though the images are blurry, it can be seen that the handset will be housing a metal chassis and will be sporting a high screen to body ratio.
After the unprecedented success of the OnePlus One flagship from 2014, its successor model is one of the most awaited flagships of 2015. The purported OnePlus 2 images shows that the rear side of the device may house a fingerprint scanner as there is a vertical bar present below the camera and its flash, Phone Arena claimed.
A secret photo of the OnePlus 2 that was published by a Weibo user @KJuma indicates that the flagship may feature a 5.5-inch or 5.7-inch display that will support full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, Tech Radar reported.
The tipster also claims that the thickness of the device will be 5 to 6 mm and it will be sporting a metal exterior. Like the predecessor, the OnePlus 2 will be also available on invite-only process initially. It is expected to come out with a very affordable price tag.
Till now, OnePlus has only revealed that the OnePlus 2 will be running on Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset. The Chinese firm claims that it has worked with Qualcomm to include an improved version of Snapdragon 810 chipset that will not be marred by overheating problems. It will be the first smartphone to get released with USB Type-C port.
OnePlus 2 will be officially launched on July 27. The company will be hosting a virtual reality launch event that will allow fans across the world to view it in live streaming starting at 7 PM PT.
