Entrepreneur Elon Musk is the brain behind the idea of Hyperloop, a steel tube which can move with a speed of 1280 km/hr. This is being deemed as the future of travel and envisioned to be made public in San Francisco.

Hyperloop aims at transporting the passengers between San Francisco and Los Angeles within half an hour, according to The Times of India. Musk is currently working on plans to build this system in Southern California and unveil the futuristic transportation system.

After the prototype plan was unveiled, many investors started to pitch in their contribution to support and invest in the project, according to The Conversation. Many big firms from Texas and California are in the process of hiring the services of Musk and his team for initial projects.

Hyperloop is a capsule which could be filled people and it will be made to hover inside a tube. Low pressure will be created inside the tube which can be thought of as being very similar to that of an airplane.

This reduces resistance and increase the speed of travel. As a result, very little energy is required to create a speed equivalent to 1280 km/hr.

It will be powered with pure solar energy. To start the vehicle, a cushion of blasted air be thrown on the capsule which will propel the magnetic linear accelerator.

This technology can be seen as the future of fast and safe travels and can make the current train system look like a system from the medieval period. The official release date is yet to be announced.
