Star Wars' Jabba The Hutt

With J.J. Abram's "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" hitting the big screen this year and Gareth Edwards' "Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One" coming to theaters next year, "Crimson Peak" filmmaker Guillermo del Toro has revealed his idea on a "Star Wars" movie.

The "Crimson Peak" director told Yahoo that if he were to helm a "Star Wars" anthology, he would center it on Jabba The Hutt, being able to secure governance from being in the criminal gangland of the "Star Wars" legend. For del Toro, he sees himself in Jabba the Hutt, which made him like the character. He also admitted that he loves the character, as he loves the concept of a Hutt type faction.

According to Cinema Blend, Boba Fett and Han Solo are two characters who serve as potential inclusions for "Star Wars Anthology" spin-off films and it is logical to connect their stories via a shared link in the form of a Jabba-led film.

Appearing in George Lucas' "Star Wars" saga, Jabba Desilijic Tiure, better known as Jabba the Hutt is portrayed as a big slug-like alien. His role in the epic film is mainly villainous, as he served as the crime leader who has a glut on Han Solo's head. His palace is located in Tatooine, where he holds despicable events, such as gambling and torturing slaves.

"Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher, among others while "Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One" features Sam Claflin, Felicity Jones, and Ben Mendelsohn, among others. Meanwhile, "Crimson Peak" stars Charlie Hunnam, Tom Hiddleston, and Jessica Chastain, among others.

Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" is set to hit theaters on Dec. 18. Edwards' "Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One" is slated to premiere on Dec. 16, 2016 while del Toro's "Crimson Peak" premieres on Oct. 16.
