OnePlus Two Vs. ASUS ZenFone 2: Specs, Performance Comparison Of 2 Mid-Range Smartphones

OnePlus 2 vs Asus Zenfone 2

Both OnePlus Two and ASUS ZenFone 2 are clearly offering impressive features that sells at a low price. The Chinese-product OnePlus Two is now being compared to ASUS ZenFone 2, which was released this month, in terms of specifications, additional features and performance.

OnePlus 2 runs under its own custom Android ROM, Oxygen OS. The device is powered by an octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC and the graphics works on Adreno 430. Asus Zenfone 2 works on Android 5.0 Lollipop and powered by a 2.3GHz 64-bit Intel Atom processor, along with the graphics of PowerVR G6430 GPU, according to Ecumenical News.

Asus ZenFone 2 offers 5.5 inch Full HD IPS screen protected by Gorilla Glass 3 with a screen resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. On the other hand, OnePlus 2 features a 5.5 inch Full HD with screen resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, offering an in-cell display technology protected by Gorilla Glass shield. Both handsets offer 178-degree viewing angles.

ZenFone 2 sports an all-plastic casing with a brushed metal exterior, offering a decent-built curvy back. Users can choose from available colors: Sheer Gold, Glacier Gray, Ceramic White, Osmium Black, and Glamour Red. OnePlus Two features a metallic frame which is made out of premium materials. The device comes in four shades of cases: Kevlar, Bamboo, Rosewood, and Black Apricot.

Zenfone 2 offers 2GB and 4GB of RAM and the internal storage comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. The 16GB and 32GB editions of 4GB RAM version are expandable up to 64GB using microSD. The OnePlus 2 device has a 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and it comes with 16GB or 64GB variants.

Both OnePlus 2 and the Asus Zenfone 2 feature 13MP rear-facing camera, with f/2.0 aperture, laser auto-focus, OIS and dual LED flash. They both sports 5MP front camera, offering wide angle lens when taking selfie for OnePlus 2 and Asus Zenfone 2 has a Real Tone flash.

Zenfone 2 offers 3000mAh of Lithium-Polymer battery, equipped with fast charge technology. On the other hand, OnePlus 2 has a 3 300mAh Lithium-Polymer battery.

OnePlus 2 provides a fingerprint scanner, dual SIM 4G slots, and USB Type-C port. It features an Alert slider a multi-colour LED notification light. Zenfone 2 offers ZenMotion, Trend Micro integrated Zen UI browser, SnapView, dual SIM slot, and 4G support.

Pete Lau, OnePlus CEO, stated that OnePlus Two might be cost about $400, but because of higher demand for the device, buyers need to have an invite before purchasing the handset, International Business Times reported. Zenfone 2’s unlocked 64GB of storage version costs $299 and the 16GB of storage with 1.8GHz processor and 2GB of RAM version is priced at $199.
