A new teaser for "Scandal" season 5 was recently released online and it featured Olivia Pope and President Fitzgerald Grant reuniting after a long period of time.
Immediately after the clip's release, fans have been speculating that Olivia and President Fitz will live in the White House and eventually get married.
However, series creator Shonda Rhimes recently spoke about the future of the onscreen couple while at the 2015 TCS summer press tour. According to her, Olivia and President Fitz will be the only two people in the cast who will have something good going on in their lives.
This is because in season 4, Cyrus Beene and Mellie Grant were kicked out of the White House. Quinn and Huck meanwhile, got into a brawl that almost led the former to kill the latter.
Meanwhile, according to Entertainment Weekly, there is a chance that President Fitz could be contemplating about divorcing Mellie. This has led fans to once again speculate that the president of the United States will be doing so to make his relationship with Olivia official.
In other news, Kerry Washington, who plays the role of Olivia, recently discouraged her fans to look at her as their role model. According to the actress, Olivia is not a good role model because she is having an affair with a married man. Additionally, Olivia is a murderer, Melty reported.
Find out what will happen to Olivia and President Fitz on "Scandal" season 5 will premiere on ABC on Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. ET.
