After dramatically quitting the show in February, Kelly Osbourne reached out and congratulated Melissa Rivers, late comedian Joan Rivers' daughter, on the successful comeback of "Fashion Police" after a hiatus of six months.
"@MelRivers congratulations on an awesome show tonight," tweeted the show's former co-host. She reportedly also sent a bouquet to Melissa to congratulate her on the triumphant return of the show on Aug. 31, Monday, Daily Mail reported.
Although the late iconic comedian's daughter replied warmly to the congratulatory tweet, her sentiments on her show were evidently quite different.
To apparently take a dig at Osbourne, Melissa opened her show with a comic act in which she pretended to be caught unaware while she was shown busy cleaning under the sofa as the camera rolled on.
"It's been a little bit of a crazy year around here and I'm still cleaning up the mess," quipped the late iconic comedian's daughter before tossing away a lint roller with big chunks of purple and red hair, quite evidently referring to the 30-year-old TV personality.
The purple-haired celebrity famously left the show after filming only seven episodes despite being drafted in to replace the show's iconic main star Joan in February.
Although she cited her reason to "pursue other opportunities," it was widely reported that her disagreement with co-host Guiliana Rancic over the latter's perceived racial comment on Zendaya Coleman after she walked the Oscars red carpet with dreadlocked hair led to the resignation.
The controversial comment was also opposed by Kathy Griffith, who followed Osbourne out of the show.
Although Osbourne was full of praises for Melissa on Twitter sphere, she did not offer any sentiment to her former co-host whom she called "a liar" last month while talking to The Wrap.
