"Legends of Tomorrow" is a spin-off series developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Marc Guggenheim and Phil Klemmer.

New details and spoilers for the "Arrow" and "The Flash" spin-off "Legends of Tomorrow," particularly on Heatwave's backstory and new villains in the series, have been revealed.

Main cast member Dominic Purchell has revealed several details regarding Heatwave's past in "Legends of Tomorrow". He explained that the first clues of Mick Rory/Heatwave's history will take place in one of Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) nightmares during an episode of "The Flash" season 2.

Purchell told The Hollywood Reporter that in "The Flash" episode, audiences will also explore Leonard Snart/Captain Cold's (Wensworth Miller) childhood and will focus on the close relationship he has with his sister, Lisa/Golden Glider (Peyton List).

The "Prison Break" actor hinted that fans will get to see more of Heatwave's backstory in the spin-off and teased a possible first meeting between him and Snart before the events of "The Flash" TV series.

Both Heatwave and Captain Cold are the two villains who will join a rag tag group of heroes comprise of The Atom ( Brandon Ruth), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Firestorm (Victor Garber), Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee), Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) and Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill).

In other news, four DC super villains are rumored to join "Legends of Tomorrow" TV series and these are Scandal Savage, Hath-Set, Shadow Thief and the Spider.

Hath-Set and Shadow Thief are well known villains of both Hawkman and Hawkgirl, as Scandal Savage is the daughter of the show's main villain, Vandal Savage (Casper Crump). The Spider in the show will be a pretentious hero trying to eliminate the team as he sees them as competition making an interesting dynamic, Realty Today reported.

"Legends of Tomorrow" will focus on a group of heroes and villains that are tasked to stop Vandal Savage from disrupting time and save the whole universe from total destruction.

"Legends of Tomorrow" is speculated to premier in January next year on the CW Network.
