"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's" latest DLC expansion will feature new details on the Runewords, a new love interest and several patch fixes for the PlayStation 4 version.
CD Projekt RED latest installment of "The Witcher" game series will receive its first expansion DLC next month as the game developers revealed more details on the "Runewords" feature for "Hearts of Stone". According to German game magazine Gamestar, the Runewords originated from three runes, and were burned to a sword or to a piece of armor. The Runewords will have different effects within "The Witcher 3" such making burning enemies explode as different relics can bring out several different effects depending on the available runes the players have, Gamerant reported.
"The Hearts of Stone" will also feature a gear set for Geralt and several new monsters for him slay on different Witcher contracts. The DLC expansion will also bring back one Geralt's love interest Shani, who debuted in "the Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings."
The game's community manager Marcin Momot urge players to reach level 30 and above before they play the "Hearts of Stone" expansion and they can start during or after the game's main quest. Players who are below level 30 will have a sudden level-up boost a the start of the DLC similar to the New Game Plus mode.
Aside from new game features, Momot added that the new patch update for PS4 version will be impressive and it allows to fix several problems within the game like camera sturring issues when riding Roach and enemy freeze glitches when using Yrden, GeekSnack reported.
"Hearts of Stone" will feature Geralt hunting down an immortal bandit lord, Olgierd von Everec. Geralt must manage to find a way to learn Everec's secret of immortality and kill him as Geralt will soon discover the powers behind the Runewords. The DLC will launch on October 13 at $8.50, while the limited box edition will coust around $19.99 with bonus items like a new digital code, two Gwent card decks and its own rule book.
"The Witcher: Wild Hunt" is currently available in stores for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
