How Good Is The LG V10’s Camera?

LG unveiled the highly anticipated LG V10 super-premium smartphone.

South Korean tech giant LG recently announced the first smartphone for its super premium series, the LG V10. Of all the impressive specs the smartphone boasts, one that got many critics' attention is its camera.

The LG V10 is filling some pretty big shoes, especially if LG plans to release the smartphone as the successor to the highly successful LG G4 which was released in March. More attention is being levied for the new smartphone's camera as LG promises that it will deliver some of the best and most powerful smartphone camera in the market.

During the presentation of the LG V10, the company spent most of the time detailing the phone's camera. The LG V10 sports two 5-megapixel front-facing camera. One has an 80-degree field of view while the other one has 120-degree field of view. The smartphone has a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera which can be used simultaneously with the two front-facing cameras in order to produce a three-in-one photo which LG calls Multiview.

LG also throws in several photography related updates including the video stabilization feature which the company calls Steady Record. On top of that, LG also added several manual recording controls and the ability to adjust the lighting or color of the video while recording.

Aside from the exciting camera specs, the LG V10 also has some pretty interesting hardware features.

The LG V10 has a smaller secondary screen located on top of the main display. This secondary screen acts like a ticker which is similar to the scrolling strip usually found on TV news, According to CNet.

According to Computer World, the LG V10 has a 5.7-inch display screen with 2560 x 1440 resolution. It also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset with a six-core 1.8GHz processor and an Adreno 418 graphics processing unit. It has 4GB or RAM and 64GB of storage space which can be expanded up to 200GB via the microSD slot. It has a fingerprint scanner, 3000mAh removable battery and will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
