Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant recently took to Twitter to share about his hopes for Seattle Storm player Jewell Loyd, the 2015 WNBA Draft's number one draft pick and Rookie of the Year.

"Bright future ahead for @jewellloyd, great story on the rise of the new Rookie of the Year," Bryant tweeted along with a Nike News article about the Seattle-based but Chicago native basketball player.

Nike describes Loyd as a hardworking athlete with a singular on-court tenacity. Before going back to the United States for her second year, the WNBA star started her first professional European season in Turkey.

It was 19 years ago when Bryant, who was 18 years old then, was a rookie hitting the court of the Stan Sheriff Center in the first Los Angeles Lakers training camp of his NBA career. This is the training camp that marked the final one for now Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott, who was then Bryant's teammate.

On Sept. 29, Tuesday, Scott and Bryant was spotted on the UH-Manoa gym on Lower Campus Road in Hawaii, which was their first time together since 2007.

"(It) feels beautiful," KHON2 quoted Bryant as saying. "It's almost the cyclical nature of sports, right? It feels good to be in this moment."

For Scott, to be back at the place where Bryant started is "probably special." Los Angeles Lakers head coach added, "My last time playing was here as well, so coming back, you have some familiarity with the area, especially coming into the gym."
