NBA star Kobe Bryant surprised "Bad Blood" singer Taylor Swift during her "1989" tour on Aug. 21 in the Staples Center, which is the home base of Los Angeles Lakers.
Swift was performing her hit song "Style" when Bryant appeared onstage. The Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard presented Calvin Harris's girlfriend with a banner that reads, "Taylor Swift, Most Sold Out Performances."
It was Swift's first of five consecutive shows in Los Angeles marking 16 sold-out shows, which is the largest number for any artist at Staples Center. The "Blank Space" hit maker took to Instagram to share a photo of herself and Bryant onstage during her "1989" tour in Los Angeles.
"The screams you hear from an LA crowd when Kobe walks out onstage are so deafening you think you may have permanent hearing loss. But it was SO WORTH IT," Swift captioned the photo.
Spotted in the audience was "Law & Order: SVU" star Mariska Hargitay, who is of the stars featured in the "Bad Blood" music video and the inspiration of one of Swift's cats, according to E! News. In June, the actress appeared onstage with Swift at her Philadelphia concert.
Aside from Bryant, OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder also joined Swift onstage. They performed the 2013 hit song "Counting Stars."
In other news, Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant ranked number one in an annual survey of rookies conducted by NBA beating Bryant, who is in number two. LeBron James ranked at number four while Stephen Curry and Dwyane Wade tied at number four.
