Asus GX700 will be the first overclocked and water-cooled gaming laptop.

Asus announced the latest addition to its Republic of Gamers (ROG) lineup, the GX700 that will be the first overclocked and water-cooled gaming laptop.

First unveiled at IFA 2015 (the German version of Consumer Electronics Show), GX700 is powered by an overclockable quad-core Skylake Intel K-series processor, features a 17-inch 4K display and comes with an additional unit to keep it all cool. It provides stable and super-fast performance on games.

The CPU is highly overclockable, as it features an unlocked mobile processor, a potent part with four physical cores clocked at 2.7GHz to 3.6GHz, Hyper Threading support, and 8MB of cache. Hence the water cooling included.

Its internal storage can be expanded up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM and users can also include up to 1TB of solid state drive storage. The USB 3.0 support comes as standard, it offers HDMI and DisplayPort output, and Windows 10 comes as standard, giving users the full access to the newest operating system available.

There is also a new high-end gaming PC called ROG G20 that is described as the most dominating PC under 10 liters. It boasts an Intel Core i7-6700 and Nvidia GFX Titan graphics card, PC World reported.

Other ROG devices feature Nvidia GTX 980 graphics card, with options for tweaking and overclocking. Its new Maximus VIII Extreme Assembly motherboard is also designed for overclocking, and includes a 10Gbps high-speed Wi-Fi card and an audio break-out box.

GX700 is expected to arrive by the end of 2015, but details on the pricing and availability place has not yet been announced, according to PCMag.
