Fans of "The Vampire Diaries" are reportedly not happy to see Caroline (Candice Accola-King) being paired up with Stefan (Paul Wesley).

This is why when the series aired an episode on Thursday night, fans couldn't contain their excitement after it was revealed in the three-year time-jump that Caroline will most likely not end up with Stefan.

In the episode, Caroline received a call from Stefan, and she told her assistant that she never wants to hear his name again.

Immediately after, fans started speculating on who Caroline will end up with much later on in the hit The CW series.

On TV Line's website, fans started commenting on the possibility of Caroline ending up with Tyler (Michael Trevino), Matt (Zach Roerig), Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) or even Alaric (Matt Davis).

However, majority of the fans wanted Caroline to end up with "The Originals" characters Klaus (Joseph Morgan).

One fan @Choups wrote, "Tyler or Klaus are both better options for her, at least, they loved her, respected their wish and tried to make her happy... Tyler helped her to have trust in herself and Klaus made her believe in her trust and her intelligence.

@Zed wrote, "And for what it's worth - Caroline was best with Klaus!!"

@Marlene wrote, "Niklaus Mikaelson... one can hope."

Another fan @Lou wrote, "Well, it's Klaus obviously since he intends to be her last love!"

@WIthInLust wrote, "Klaus, they are the endgame."

As of late, fans still need to wait a little longer before they find out who Caroline will end up with. Some also believe that it could still be Stefan.
