"The Original" star Phoebe Tonkin recently wowed fans following her noteworthy performance as Hayley on Thursday night.
According to TV Line, Tonkin first impressed them during her emotional speech from season 1 where she decided to give up Hope.
However, Thursday night's "You Hung the Moon" definitely raised the bar for the actress' acting chops.
The episode also focused on how Hayley fought against Klaus, and how painful it was for her to see that Hope can no walk.
Fans of the character were initially heartbroken to see how Hayley struggled throughout the entire episode, but she later on enjoyed tentative joy with Jackson.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Tonkin said that she understands that Hayley feels terrible for missing out on all of her daughter's milestones.
However, she did what she had to do for her Hope's sake.
Meanwhile, some fans are speculating on the character's fate, and are saying that she could die in the upcoming episodes.
This was after Tonkin shared a photo on her Instagram account that featured a major fight scene.
Tonkin's selfie also featured lots of fake blood, thus heightening speculations that she could be hurt or even killed.
"Thanks for watching #theoriginals," she captioned the photo.
In other news, the upcoming episode of "The Originals" season 2 will focus on Klaus and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) teaming up to figure out the real reason behind Lucien's return to New Orleans.
However, Elijah will remain angry at Klaus for everything that he put Hayley through.
"The Originals" season 3 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
