Jared Leto has revealed that the experience in creating The Joker in David Ayer's forthcoming film "Suicide Squad" was painful.

Leto is playing the iconic Joker in Ayer's upcoming "Suicide Squad." In his interview with Empire Magazine (via Comic Book Movie), Leto compared his experience to giving birth out of his prick hole. The actor also mentioned that he had taken a "pretty deep dive," adding that it had been a "unique opportunity" that he could not have imagined doing it in another manner.

For the actor, while it had been fun playing "psychological games," it had been very throbbing.

According to Cinema Blend, Leto's analogy with regard his experience in playing Gotham's Clown Prince was the most painful as well. The publication said that with the actor being always in his character for a number of months, which had showed his dedication for the role, there had been a time of detachment during filming, which suggested that the actor may have left himself in his role at a point.

Aside from being the "Hannibal Lecter" of the Suicide Squad and giving presents to his co-stars on set, Leto's version of the villain has been viewed as different from other incarnations of the character. The actor also teased his role using social media platforms like Twitter and he has displayed a terrifying take on the character in the trailers with his maniac laugh and sinister grin.

Along with Leto, "Suicide Squad" also stars Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Common, Scott Eastwood, Jay Hernandez, Adawale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Adam Beach, Cara Delevingne, Karen Fukuhara, Jai Courtney, Will Smith, and Margot Robbie, among others.

Ayer's "Suicide Squad" is set premiere in theaters on Aug. 5, 2016. Watch the official "Suicide Squad" Comic-Con trailer here:
