'The Witcher 3' DLC Update: 'Blood And Wine' Expansion Launch Date Revealed; CD Projekt RED Clears Out Standalone Gwent Card Game! [VIDEO]

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an action-RPG video game developed by CD Projekt RED for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC Platform.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will feature the release date for the "Blood and Wine" DLC and new details on the standalone Gwent card game.

Game developer CD Projekt RED revealed that the supposed launch date for "The Witcher 3's" second expansion DLC, "Blood and Wine" is scheduled for the first half of 2016 around January-June, Gamespot reported.

Some gamers were skeptical about the sudden change of "Blood and Wine" DLC's launch date as the product page for the expansion is still stated in the first quarter launch date, but a representative from the CD Projekt RED assured gaming fans that they are still communicating more about the exact launch date fr the new DLC expansion.

Community manager Marcin Momot announced that the "Blood and Wine" expansion will contain new monsters for Geralt to hunt down such as Manticores, Bruxas, Strigas and other Vampire type monsters, as well as new horse breeds, Modkit and new patch update for the game.

The "Blood and Wine" DLC for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is said to have around 20 hours of gameplay time, which longer than the "Hearts of Stone" expansion and the story will take place the region of Toussant were in the land is not tainted by war and its peaceful atmosphere lies a very dark secret.

Aside from the launch date for second DLC expansion, CD Projekt RED also cleared out the rumors of standalone Gwent card game, as it a specific feature within the franchise and will not likely work out for PvP gamers, Realty Today reported.

Game writer Karolina Stachyra added that the "Blood and Wine" expansion will feature a different realm that is not yet presented in "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" and shared the different pacing between the game's main storyline and the "Hearts of Stone" expansion.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is currently available in stores for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
