"Tekken 7" will feature new game modes and story details for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, as well as rumors of a PC version for the crossover game, "Tekken X Street Fighter".
Bandai Namco announce that "Tekken 7" will be heading to the fourth generation consoles during the Paris Games Week event as the Japanese game developers revealed an exclusive PlayStation VR content for PlayStation 4 and added features that are not found in the arcade version.
A new trailer for "Tekken 7" has also been showcased which features the 20th anniversary of the "Tekken" games and offers another glimpse in on-going Mishima family history, which depicts Kazuya's obtaining the Devil Gene, Kazumi Mishima as a demon and the final showdown between Kazuya and his father, Heihachi Msihima.
"Tekken 7" is currently being developed in Japan under game director Katsuhiro Harad and the Tekken team using Unreal Engine 4 software setting a new standard in terms of graphics and character designs. Bandai Namco added that new game modes and enhancments are being added for the console versions seperating the from the arcade versions, as well as more in-depth story within the game, Gematsu reported.
Bandai Namco has been gahering more data from arcades across the globe in order to create new game features and concepts for "Tekken 7". Harada added that "Tekken 7" will likely have guest characters and returning fighters like Jun Kazama, Kunimitsu Angel and Eliza.
The current roster for "Tekken 7" include Jin, Kazuya, Hehaichi, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, Asuka, Lili, Hwoarang, Steve Fox, Alisa, Lars Alexandersson, Dragunov, Bryan Fury, Yoshimitsu, Feng Wei, Devil Jin, Jack-7, Gigas, Josie Rizal, Claudio Serafino, Katarina Alves, Lucky Chloe, Shaheen and Kazumi Mishima.
In other news, the second crossover game from Bandai Namco and Capcom, "Tekken X Street Fighter" is rumored to have a PC version in the works soon, Venture Capital Post reported.
Harada stated that they planned to have "Tekken X Street Fighter" out in the market next year as they are currently developing both "Tekken 7" and "Pokken Tournament" this year. Although he did not say any details as to when they will start, Harada revealed that he and Bandai Namco have already made a line up of characters that will be featured in the second crossover game and will announce the roster sometime next year.
"Tekken 7" has been speculated to launch sometime in 2016 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
