Two of the most powerful and most popular high-end Android smartphone currently out in the market are the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the Huawei Nexus 6P. Both flagship devices of their respective makers, the two smartphones have sparked very interesting debates regarding which device is the kind of the Android universe.

In terms of screen size and display resolution, the Huawei Nexus 6P and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus has almost identical specs. Both have 5.7-inch screen size. Although Samsung's flagship device edged out a little when it comes to pixel density, the difference is not a big deal breaker.

With regards to their cameras, the battle is balanced. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus has a 16-megapixel rear facing camera that beats the 12.3-megapixel rear camera of the Huawei Nexus 6P. However, the Nexus 6P edges out on the front facing camera with an 8-megapixel shooter compared to the 5-megapixel installed on the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, according to Android Headlines.

Battery life is somewhat of a big deal nowadays when it comes to smartphones and it could affect buyers' decision in choosing the right device. In this aspect, the Nexus 6P has the advantage with a 3,450mAh battery pack compared to the 3,000mAh of the Galaxy S6 Edge.

The most interesting specs so far is the choice of CPU. Samsung dropped Qualcomm in favor of its own 64-bit Exynos 7420 octa-core processor. On the other hand, Huawei picked the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. Samsung's Exynos is clocked at 2.1GHz while the Snapdragon 810 is clocked at 2GHz.

In terms of operating system, the Galaxy S6 Edge runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop while the Huawei Nexus 6P runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Perhaps the biggest deal breaker in this debate is the price. An unlocked version of the Huawei Nexus 6P currently retails for $499 while the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge unlocked version costs $616, according to Smartphone Specout.
