The latest flagship smartphone from LG, the LG V10, sports a somewhat peculiar set of specs. The LG V10 has two selfie cameras and a second screen, both located above the 5.7-inch display. For some this is an innovative design, but for many analysts this is just part of LG's gimmick fest to sell its brand.
The first thing that raises most eyebrows when reviewing the LG V10 is its quite hefty price, its costs upwards of $700 for its 64GB model, according to The Verge. On the other hand, LG is more than juts gimmicks this past few year. The company is known to deliver some of the best mobile cameras and also the best smartphone displays.
The LG V10 weights exactly the same as the iPhone 6S Plus at 192 grams and shares almost the same dimensions. The smartphone is going head-to-head with fellow Android giants' Nexus 6P and Galaxy Note 5. With its big screen, the LG V10 is definitely in par with the two smartphones.
As a successor to the LG G4, the LG V10 is in par with its reputation for excellent mobile cameras. The V10 has additional features like the option to manually control ISO, white balance, shutter speed and frame rate when shooting videos.
Additional specs include a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor from Qualcomm, 4GB of RAM and the option to expand the 64GB internal storage via the microSD slot, according to Android Central.
The always-on second screen of the LG V10 displays important notification and can be modified to hold shortcut for contacts and even control music playback. The second screen feature received with varying review. Some finds it helpful and handy while others find it annoying and too tiny to even impact the overall use of the phone.
The LG V10 received favorable criticism for its strong and solid framework, fast computing performance, removable battery and the microSD expansion.
