Sacha Baron Cohem is Time in James Bobin’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass.”

Disney has released the trailer of James Bobin's forthcoming fantasy film "Alice Through the Looking Glass."

Running for two minutes, the trailer saw Alice watch a blue butterfly go through a mirror. It also featured the Mad Hatter without his hat in a burning place. Alice also returns to a realm with clocks, seeing the mystical creatures like the bunnies, the Chesire Cat, the Red Queen, the White Queen, and time.

The trailer takes the audience to an expanded world, since Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" in 2010, according to Cinema Blend. Although the trailer also features vivid colors and enchanting sequences, it promises some dark elements that need to be explored. While the characters are set to be seen again in Bobin's film, the trailer is not indicative that the film serves a sequel to Burton's film, as per io9.

"Alice Through the Looking Glass" follows Alice as she returns to Underland and travels back in time to save the Mad Hatter. The film stars Mia Wasikowska as Alice, Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, Michael Sheen as White Rabbit, Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat, and Sacha Baron Cohem as Time, among others.

Bobbin is set to helm the film while Tim Burton, Joe Roth, John Scotti, Jennifer Todd, and Suzanne Todd will produce. "Maleficent" writer Linda Woolverton is on board to pen the screenplay, along with the screenplay for Bill Condon's "Beauty and the Beast" and Disney's "Maleficent 2".

"Alice Through the Looking Glass" is slated to premiere in theaters in United States on May 27, 2016.
