MacBook Air 2016 Release This Month, Says Rumor

There’s no statement yet as to when the release of MacBook Air in 2016 will take place, but rumors suggest that this series can be phased-out in Apple’s product line.

MacBook Air 2016 release will reportedly happen before month's end, according to the latest rumor.

Various publications claim that MacBook Air 2016 could be launched as early as Black Friday, which is the rumored release date of OS X El Capitan. This makes sense as Apple usually pairs its operating systems with its products.

This is supported by the source code in OS X El Capitan spotted by Pike's Universum. The new Mac code, AAPLJ951, suggested that the new Apple laptops will be released soon.

Another indication that the new MacBooks are coming is the price cuts made on the device. The two laptops were released last spring, but it already received a lot of discounts.

The latest rumor negated previous claims that MacBook Air 2016 release was delayed to early next year as Apple making way to the new iPad Pro that will hit the market this week. Apple is marketing iPad Pro as the most powerful iPad tablet yet and that it will replace notebooks and desktops for many people.

Some of the purported features of the MacBook Air 2016 are 13-inch and 15-inch screen displays, Intel Skylake-U chipset, OS X El Capitan, Type-C USB port, and an improved battery life. The laptops will most likely be equipped with Force Touch technology. The MacBook Air will be even thinner than last time.

The laptop is expected to be in the $899 price range. However, there is no official confirmation from Apple regarding the release date and features of the said device.
