Never ending rumors claimed that YG Entertainment's highly anticipated girl group will finally debut next year and will battle against JYP's newest female group, Twice.

YG introduced its girl group 2ne1 in 2009 and fans are yearning for fresh faces from the company.

Previous speculations claimed that the YG's new girl group also referred to as Pink Punk will include some of the top female trainees in the company. Some of them already appeared in music videos, productions and endorsements.

Jennie Kim was featured in one of G-Dragon's song "That XX". Kim Jisoo appeared in various endorsements with iKON. Moon Sua is currently battling in the second season of "Unpretty Rapstar" and Jang Hana from audition program KPOP Star will reportedly join the girl group.

It is expected that the new girl group will not debut anytime soon due to the Korea and Japan promotions of iKON and CL's US promotions as well as Psy's completing his new album. Although there is no word yet as to when the new girls will hit the Kpop scene, YG fans are crossing their fingers that the girls will start promoting next year.

Meanwhile, YG's rival JYP debuted a nine-member girl group, Twice, last month. Despite debuting just last month, Twice's popularity skyrocketed and swept the music charts. The group's "Like OOH-AAH" music video surpassed the 10 million views mark.

As a gift to the fans, the group released a special dance version video of the song entitled "SPECIAL VIDEO 'C' M/V Dance Ver.2" showcasing the group's pretty looks and perfect choreography, according to All Kpop.

The hype debut made the girls extremely popular and will probably take home the Best Rookie Female Group Award in the upcoming Mnet's Asian Music Awards.
