The 2017 Lincoln MKZ was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Ford's luxury brand Lincoln was the toast of the Los Angeles Auto show after the company took the wraps off the 2017 Lincoln MKZ.

Designers of the new luxury sedan gave it a fresh new look that sports a mesh grille inspired by the Continental concept which was shown earlier this year, according to Fox News. The 2017 Lincoln MKZ also sports a new LED adaptive headlight that further adds to the overall aesthetic of the car.

One major change in the dashboard is the shift from capacitive controls in favor of the more traditional and analog knobs and buttons for the car's center console.

The 2017 Lincoln MKZ also sports some major improvements under the hood. The all-wheel-drive variant of the new MKZ has a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine capable of outputting up to 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. The optional Driver's Package adds more improvements to the handling by integrating the torque-vectoring rear differential which is based on the Ford Focus RS.

A front-wheel drive model of the 2017 Lincoln MKZ is also available. It has the same V6 engine and can output up to 350 horsepower. Another variant with 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder or hybrid powertrain is also available.

In terms of security features, the 2017 Lincoln MKZ has loads of it. The new MKZ has an adaptive cruise control system which is capable of dealing with stop-and-go traffic. This feature allows the car to hold itself in place even if the driver is not using the brake pedal.

The Pre-Collision Assist feature also helps in avoiding accidents by automatically activating the car's brakes, according to Auto Blog.
