| Dec 10, 2015 03:50 AM EST

Apple held its yearly conference recently and fans were left wondering as the event only witnessed the release of iPad Mini 4 and iPad Pro, wherein there were no mentions about the latest iPad Air 3.

There are rumors that Apple iPad Air 3 release may happen in January 2016, at the earliest.

Apple iPad Air 3 was earlier expected to release in 2015 but due to the release of iPad Pro, it was postponed, according to BGR. Apparently the tech giant wanted to give a level playing field for iPad Pro and focus solely on its sales therefore other iPad devices such as Apple iPad Air 3 and iPad Mini 4 were not released with it.

Apple is expected to unveil the upcoming iPad Air 3 in an official announcement soon.

Apple iPad Air 3 specs are expected to include a display of 9.7 inches with 4K screen resolution, according to Tech Times. The upcoming iPad Air 3 may also have a pixel density of 401 ppi along with an aspect ratio of 4:3. This is a major improvement over its predecessor which had a pixel resolution of 1536X2048.

It is rumored to be powered by the Apple A9 processor. This is the same powerful A9 processor, which is also present in the Apple iPad Pro. The device is expected to come in two variants - 2 GB and 4 GB.

Apple iPad Pro features are also expected to include an 8 megapixel primary camera with a fingerprint scanner. The front camera is expected to be 2.1 mega pixels for some impeccable selfies.

The unfortunate news is that the upcoming Apple iPad Air 3 battery capacity may be reduced in comparision to iPad Air 2's 7,340 mAh battery.

Apple iPad Air 3 price is expected to be around $610.

Apple iPad Air 3 is expected to come in three different models with different memory capacities of 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB.
