While "Fast & Furious 8" will not hit the theaters until April 14, 2017 as announced by Vin Diesel, there are increased rumors on who will feature in the upcoming installment.
Reportedly, Paul Walker's brother, Cody Walker, will feature in the next "Fast & Furious" installment, according to Australian Network. Cody initially helped in the production of "Fast & Furious 7" following the death of his brother. In the upcoming "Fast & Furious 8," Cody will play Brian O'Connor's brother, who was initially believed to have died in war.
The production team as well may include big names such as the 70-year-old Academy winner, Dame Helen Mirren and Matt Damon. Mirren previously starred in "Red" and "Red 2."
In an interview with MTV, Vin Diesel dished on his "Witch Hunter" co-stars in the upcoming installment. He said, "I think everyone should do the franchise. They've gotta get in line behind Helen Mirren. She is on the list. Be careful what you wish for, Helen."
Furthermore, there is a likelihood that Vin Diesel will bring on board Indian actress, Deepika Padukone, who worked with him in "XXX."
Similarly, U.S. Customs agent Monica Fuentes (Eva Mendes), who featured in the second and fifth installments of the franchise, may join the cast for the upcoming "Furious 8."
Events in "Fast & Furious 7" showed Toretto and the rest of the cast running in criminal circles involving the federal government, and therefore, it will not be long before they either help Fuentes or run away from her.
