After directing "Straight Outta Compton," F. Gary Gray is set to helm the much-anticipated "Fast & Furious" sequel. So far, there are six original cast members who are confirmed to reprise their role in "Furious 8," which is to be released on April 14, 2017.
1. "Ballers" star Dwayne Johnson, 43
Before reprising her role as Hobbs in "Furious 8," Johnson will star in several 2016 films including "Central Intelligence," "Big Trouble in Little China" and "Moana." Recently, the actor made his fans love him more when he donated $1,500 to a dog named Dwayne that needs a $4,500 surgery, TMZ reported.
2. "Viva La Madness" star Jason Statham, 48
After playing Deckard Shaw in "Furious 7," Statham was included in the cast of the upcoming action series "Viva La Madness." He will also star in the 2016 action film "Mechanic: Resurrection" opposite Jessica Alba and Tommy Lee Jones.
Recently, Statham was spotted with his girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley having a double date with Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris in Beverly Hills, California, Just Jared reported.
3. "The Last Witch Hunter" star Vin Diesel, 48
Aside from reprising Dominic Toretto in "Furious 8," Diesel will also reprise his role as Groot in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" in 2017. He recently starred in "The Last Witch Hunter" opposite Elijah Wood.
4. "Milton's Secret" star Michelle Rodriguez, 37
Currently filming "Milton's Secret" and "Tomboy, a Revenger's Tale," Rodriguez will reprise her role as Lettie Ortiz Toretto.
5. "Ride Along 2" star Tyrese Gibson, 36
Before reprising his role as Roman Pearce in "Furious 8," Gibson will appear in "Ride Along 2," which stars Ice Cube and Kevin Hart.
6. "Empire" guest star Ludacris, 38
Ludacris recently appeared as a guest actor of "Empire" season 2. He will reprise his role as Tej Parker in "Furious 8."
