Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink played down reports that the Blues received a big-money offer for Oscar from big-spending Chinese Super League club.
The Sun reported last week that Chelsea has rejected a £57 million offer for Oscar from CSL club Jiangsu Suning, who are also responsible for the record signing of former Chelsea Ramires last month.
However, according to Hiddink, there was no such offer from a Chinese club to lure Oscar in joining the growing list of international footballers in China.
"Well we know that just Ramires had a great offer but Oscar for me is just speculation," Hiddink said, reports Metro. "We do not go into that."
Despite Jiangsu's failed attempt to sign the Brazilian international, the Chinese club vows to reopen negotiations when the summer transfer window opens.
China has grabbed the football world's attention in the past month after shelling big-money deals for international talents to play in the country.
They now lead the winter transfer window spending this year, shelling out £242.09 million and exceeding the English Premier League's £228.81 million, according to website transfer markt, which tracks football's commercial deals from around the globe.
China's world-leading spending comes after Jiangsu orchestrated another huge deal to bring Shakhtar Donetsk's Alex Teixeira for a whooping transfer fee of €50 million.
"I immediately wondered whether it would be good for me, my family, the club, and took the appropriate decision," Teixeira said, reports the BBC.
Teixeira also confirmed there was interest from Premier League clubs, but "all the proposals that came from them were somewhat windy and did not contain anything concrete."
The 26-year-old Brazilian was a target of Liverpool last month, but failed to complete a deal to bring Teixeira to Anfield after Shakhtar rejected a £32 million offer from the Reds.
