Fans of the music icon, originally known as Lin Jun Jie, have been electrified by the post with some seen awaiting his arrival at the "Music Bank's" recording venue.

The two musicians had recently collaborated in "Checkmate," one of the songs in Yonghwa's first solo album, which features three languages including Korean, English and Mandarin.

The song also showcases an intense pop-rock vibe, a musical style that both of them enjoy.

Their collaboration paved the way for the Singaporean singer to be invited to the music-oriented show produced by the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) and aired every Friday evening in more than 70 countries all over the world through KBS World.

Saturday's episode of "Music Bank" would be showcasing JJ Lin's first time to perform in a Korean show.

Prior to this milestone, he first expressed his interest in the South Korean group CNBLUE in 2013 after he posted a photo showing him and the group at the backstage of the band's concert in Taiwan.

Aside from Yonghwa, members of the band include lead guitarist and vocalist Lee Jong-hyun, Lee Jung-shin on bass guitar and vocals, and Kang Min-hyuk on drums and vocals.

Originally known as the "Top 10 Songs" which debuted in 1981, the show has been hosted by Park Seo-joon and Yoon Bora since Oct. 2013.
