Speculations suggest that HTC One M10 release may happen on April 11. The company has also rebranded the device in an apparent effort to make it fare better than the lackluster HTC One M9.
HTC One M9 was deemed as a great phone when it officially came out in the market in April 2015; however, the device did not fare very well in sales. The main reason behind this was that the phone offered only slight improvements to its predecessor, HTC One M8. This made the company to push back the release of its upcoming device, the HTC One M10.
So, instead of launching the HTC One M10 in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event 2016, the company is expected to launch it later in London. According to recent reports, the company is also toying with the idea of naming the flagship smartphone as "Perfume."
According to GSM Arena, the upcoming device is rumored to adapt the design of the HTC One A9 and be equipped with a 5.1-inch QHD screen. It may also be powered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and the Media Tek chipset. Other specs expected in the device are microSD card slot, 4GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, Optical Image Stabilization, Sapphire Lens Cover as well as Laser Autofocus, 12 mega pixel rear camera and 4 mega pixel front camera.
The device is speculated to be extremely high end, thus giving the current flag ship devices like the upcoming Apple iPhone 7, Sony Xperia Z6 and Samsung Galaxy S7 a serious run for their money, according to CNET. With this device, the tech giant is assumed to be stepping up their game exponentially.
In other related news, Taiwanese company ended last year with a huge bang when they launched the HTC One A9. Additionally, the premium model of this device was also launched for Asia, called the HTC One X9. Both the devices received good customer feedback, and HTC was back in the market once again with its line of high end flag ship devices.
