As of this writing, there's no confirmation yet on both Naruto movies' exact theater release; however, according to previous reports, "The True Legend of Itachi" movie release will be announced come March 2016.

The production company may have delayed "Boruto: Naruto the Movie 2," but fans still thinks that the movie sequel is worth the wait. The plot of the movie sequel is reportedly to focus on Sarada Uchicha's, daughter of Sasuke and Sakura Uchicha, quest on becoming a Hokage. In Naruto manga series, Sarada Uchicha, who is known to be a female ninja from Konohagakure's Uchicha clan, is a member of Team Konohamaru.

In "Boruto: Naruto the Movie," Sarada expresses to Naruto's son her yearning to become a future leader of their village. In response to what Sarada said, Boruto promised Sarada to protect her when she achieves the position, and expresses that he has no desire in becoming a Hokage just like his father. With that being said, the sequel will feature Boruto's adventure but may mainly focus on Sarada's journey and challenges as she attempts become a future Hokage.

Meanwhile, according to Ecumenical News, since the end credits of the first movie shown Orochimaru, this may possibly mean that he will be the main antagonist on "Boruto: Naruto the Movie 2." Naruto Wikia described Orochimaru as a genius, and is known for his journey in finding immortality.

On other Naruto news, "Naruto" creator Masashi Kishimoto may have revealed in 2015 that he will be stepping back and wrapping up his popular creation after 15 years, but reports say that he will still work on a different manga series that will feature Naruto's son - Boruto.

Kishimoto, however, will not create the new "Boruto" series, as it will be drawn by Naruto Assistant artist Mikeo Ikemoto. Kishimoto will only supervise Ikemoto and Ukyo Kodachi, who is in charge of writing the new "Boruto" series, CrossMap reported.

The new "Boruto" manga series will be featured every month and will run on Weekly Shonen Jump starting Spring.
