The tournament starts on Nameless Planet and it is Botamo vs. Goku. The preview trailer of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 33 has been released.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 33 - preview
Son Goku is the first one to fight from the team. The last episode ended with the announcer inviting Botamo and Goku to the ring
The preview trailer starts with Botamo and Goku in the ring. Botamo attacks Goku and one of the scenes show Goku screaming his lungs out. The crowd looks surprised.
Interestingly, Son Goku is seen with golden hair and he is the golden hair super saiyan form. Why is Goku not going all super saiyan blue against Botamo?
Perhaps, he is saving his energy for the rest of the tournament. If we read the "Dragon Ball Super" manga, Goku is not seen in the golden hair super saiyan form.
Coming back to the "Dragon Ball Super" episode 33 preview video, another scene shows Goku doing squats to get ready to face Botamo.
Towards the end of the trailer, Goku is seen with golden hair challenging Botamo and Botamo launches beam-like bombs from his mouth.
"The first match of the martial arts tournament is Goku vs. Botamo, from Universe 6. But, immediately after starting the match, Goku can't put his mind to it because he ate too much. He somehow pulled himself together but, no matter what attacks Goku uses, Botamo isn't fazed in the least," reads the synopsis of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 33.
*Manga spoilers ahead*
In the manga, Goku is not in golden hair SSJ form, he launches a Kamehameha to take down Botamo, but it does seem to work.
Later, Goku just topples Botamo and makes him fall off the ring. The referee announces that since Botamo is out of the ring, Son Goku is the winner of the match.
Goku then faces Frost from Universe 6.
